We are a team of Registered Energy Advisors who are committed to providing sustainable, yet economical energy solutions for our clients. We specialize in the energy consulting of Part 9 residential construction including detached single dwellings, duplexes and row homes. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to helping our clients achieve their energy objectives by providing the highest quality services.
We serve the cities of Abbotsford, Surrey, Delta, Burnaby, Mission, Langley, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge and Coquitlam.
Pre-Construction
At this stage, we collaborate with the homeowner to know what building materials and HVAC systems they would like to incorporate. We then use this data along with the architectural plans to model this data in our software to generate reports that can provided to the municipality during the building permit application.
Mid Construction
Before the drywall stage, our Energy Advisors pay a visit to the site to evaluate the building envelope and its air barrier. With the use of a blower door and other equipment, we depressurize/pressurize the home to find any potential air leaks that may jeopardize the home's airtightness.
Post- Construction
Our advisors come by towards the end of construction to assess the windows, doors and mechanical equipment installed in the home. We perform one last blower door test to get an ACH reading for the home's airtightness level. Using this information, we model the home and provide it with an energy label.
Rebates
Depending on the materials, mechanical equipment and airtightness level of the home, our advisors will assist you to receive rebates from Fortis BC's new home program if you are eligible. The amount varies corresponding to the step code level the home was able to achieve.
